Who is Athena?
It’s me!
Athena Beldja Sjöblom, to be more exact.
I knew I was a creative nerd early when I was an 8-year-old in small-town-Sweden who wanted to be an artist while also finishing the entire math book on the first day of class. A couple of years later I was teaching myself Photoshop and the likes just for fun.
My passions for creating, learning, and analyzing brought me to the exciting field of marketing and a move to Los Angeles, CA. Because of the global *you-know-what* in 2020, after 8 years in California, this creative nerd returned to Sweden with a B.S. in Marketing and B.A. in Business Management & Administration (Honors) and an appetite for new exciting challenges!
My journey took me to Hasselfors Garden where I spent my days inspiring consumers to create flourishing environments – and a new passion for sustainability was born.
After 3 years in Örebro I decided it was time to try a new challenge: living close to my family for the first time in my adult life. And so begins the latest phase in my adventure where I’m now open for new opportunities in Skåne.
Time not spent on working with marketing I spend with my unruly adopted pup Bonne, baking delicious cakes, creating art or curiously browsing the web for workshops to learn even more.
Feel free to take a look through my portfolio to see some of the work I’ve done the past few years, and don’t hesitate getting in touch with any questions or comments!
Fun Facts
Facts seeker
I've always been an avid learner and annoyingly curious. As a kid, my mom would tell me to stop asking so many questions and check an encyclopedia. Sufficient to say, I love Google.
Eternally curious
Speaking of learning, I taught myself how to read before the age of 2 and participated in 7 different weekly sports and activities by the age of 10 because I wanted to learn all the things! Today I'm still constantly finding new things to learn, the latest fixation being yarn and I knitted my first sweater in just a few weeks.
Cake all day
A few year ago I discovered a love of baking! I especially love cake decorating and learning new baking & decorating techniques. My treats have a way of ending up in the office kitchen, much to the delight of coworkers.
Team gluten free
I was diagnosed with celiac disease as a toddler and have been living gluten free ever since. I love to challenge the perception that gluten free is boring (or trendy). I make the best pizza in town and no one ever guesses that my baked treats are gluten free.
